We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Jeff Pappas, who has been an invaluable member of the New Mexico Humanities Council board since 2020. Jeff brought his experience as the state’s historic preservation officer and joined the board during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. He particularly enjoyed serving on the grants committee, where his efforts have had a lasting impact.
Beyond his professional contributions, Jeff’s collaborative nature advanced NMHC’s goals and mission. He greatly enjoyed working with fellow board members and forging new connections.
We are sad to see him go, but as Jeff moves on to a new opportunity with the National Park Service in California, we wish him the very best in his new chapter.
Thank you, Jeff, for your service and dedication to the NMHC.
