Through May 4, 2025, the Albuquerque Museum will host Puertas fronterizas / Border Doors, an exhibition of painted and mixed-media collage doors reflecting on the life experiences of Latin American migrants.
The museum is also hosting a talk by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner, journalist, and author of Enrique’s Journey, Sonia Nazario. Nazario began her career at the Wall Street Journal and later joined the Los Angeles Times. She is best known for Enrique’s Journey, her story of a Honduran boy’s struggle to find his mother in the U.S. It became a national bestseller, required reading at hundreds of schools across the country, and garnered more than a dozen awards. Dr. Alicia Romero, Curator of History at the Museum, will lead the Q&A.
