The COVID-19 pandemic took a significant toll on the NHD in NM program, and “Library Days” seemed like a thing of the past. This year, however, the NHD in NM team was determined to bring them back, recognizing how vital these hands-on research opportunities are for students. With library visits now taking place across the state, the program has reconnected students with valuable resources to improve their History Day projects and inspire their academic journey.
NHD Library Days give students the chance to explore college libraries with guided instruction on accessing resources and archives. Students can also browse independently for sources related to their History Day topics. It’s an informative and fun way to get inspired!
For those in the southeastern part of the state, Eastern New Mexico University is offering to bring library resources to you, or help plan a visit to the ENMU library. Contact NHD State Coordinator Stephanie Wilson for more information.
