Kathryn McClenahan, National History Day in New Mexico Administrative Assistant
Kathryn, an NHD alum, assists with all things National History Day in New Mexico, from teacher workshops to judge training to contest day organization. She has been involved with the program for more than 10 years as a participant, judge, and now as a part of the NHD team. She is currently pursuing a degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on social studies from UNM, which she hopes to use to teach NHD in her own classroom. She is especially passionate about connecting with teachers and supporting their classes by connecting them to state and local resources.
