Beginning in 2024, the New Mexico History Museum began selecting NHD exhibits for public display. This year, the group exhibit “Tierra o Muerte: The Tierra Amarilla Conflict” was selected by the NM History Museum as the 2025-2026 NHD exhibition for the theme “Rights and Responsibilities in History”. Elias Guadiana, Cheyanne Medrano, and Mateo Salcido, 10th grade students from Cobre High School, received this honor, with support from their proud NHD teacher, Julie Gutierrez. The group exhibit earned second place at the NM State contest and will be shipped to the museum following the NHD National Contest at the University of Maryland, June 8-12. The NM History Museum is still confirming the exhibition dates and final display location.
