OCTOBER 18TH IS NAMED AMY PAGE DAY, IN MORIARTY NEW MEXICO

WHO: October 18th is officially Amy Page Day! Moriarty, New Mexico has named a day after high school teacher Amy Page in celebration of her contributions to the community and being nationally recognized as the 2022 Patricia Behring Senior Teacher of the Year for the National History Day program.

Amy Page is being honored by the Moriarty city government, Moriarty High School, and the Moriarty-Edgewood School Board.

Come join us on October 18th to celebrate Amy Page Day and spend time celebrating this local teacher for her contributions to the community and for mentoring many youth historians through the National History Day program locally facilitated by the New Mexico Humanities Council.

Festivities will be hosted at Moriarty High School, Moriarty-Edgewood Central Office Complex located at 2422 East Highway 333 Moriarty, NM 87035.

Helping student historians and their teachers study the past to inform the present and shape the future.

ABOUT NATIONAL HISTORY DAY® (NHD):

NHD is a non-profit organization based in College Park, Maryland, that seeks to improve the teaching and learning of history. The National History Day Contest was established in 1974 and currently engages more than half a million students every year in conducting original research on historical topics of interest. Students present their research as a documentary, exhibit, paper, performance, or website. Projects compete first at the local and affiliate levels, where the top entries are invited to the National Contest at the University of Maryland at College Park. NHD is sponsored in part by, HISTORY®, the National Endowment for the Humanities, the National Park Service, Southwest Airlines, the Crown Family Foundation, The Better Angels Society, the Pritzker Military Museum & Library, and the Diana Davis Spencer Foundation.
